Welcome, I'm so glad you're here.

I'm Emily, a creative marketing strategist located in the balmy Townsville region of North Queensland, Australia and the solo digital marketing provider here at Ochre Design Studio.

As the owner of a 100% online small business, I know how important it is to get discovered by the right people. With the speed at which digital marketing is progressing, I’m driven by the desire to see other small businesses achieve sustainable growth and thrive in their online space.

Before I became a digital marketing strategist, I practiced graphic design and wedding stationery design as a side business while I worked part-time. With a dream on my heart of leaving my nine-to-five to pursue my creative business full-time, I quickly realised I wasn't equipped to market my business in a successful, sustainable way.

It was here, as a DIY enthusiast on a small budget, that I began the journey which ultimately led to Ochre Design Studio. I leaned in to the world of digital marketing to learn as much as I could, and after countless hours of learning, practising, building and systemising, I discovered that digital success stems from a number of channels working together to create online visibility.

My journey was harder and more complex than I imagined it would be, but at last I'd found my thing. I've always been a logical, systemised problem-solver, and when fused with my love for design, becoming a digital marketing strategist happened naturally.

In 2021, I launched as a small brand & web design studio in Brisbane, where I lived at the time. I was determined to share my findings with other small biz owners, and provide guidance the way I wish I could have been guided in the beginning - a steady support through the confusing, fast-paced industry that is digital marketing, where meticulousness, strategy and time are absolutely essential for success.

I spent a few years in the design industry working on branding & web design before branching into digital advertising, to complete the dream of launching a full service digital marketing studio.
